On October 15 he came to us from heaven. I still can’t believe that he is here. All this time waiting and now I get to hold him in my arms and give him endless kisses. Everything went well (such a blessing) and he is as healthy as ever (another great blessing). The first day was very long because we had him in the wee hours of the morning. But all the more time we got to spend with him! :)
We were able to have several people come to see us. It was so nice. My parents, and Clint’s parents and Grandma. The girls wanted to come up, but they couldn’t because of the H1N1 virus, so they had to wait downstairs. There were not very happy. I went down there to see them, I missed them so much.It was really funny. BN was giving me a hug and felt my tummy (this was about 12 hours after he was born)…and she looked at me funny. I smiled and she said “mommy, are you going to have another baby?” – – – – LOL. It was great.
We also had my dear friends come and visit and bring him the cutest outfit and bear with balloons. It was a wonderful day, and the hospital was wonderful and the nurses were great. Soo Soooo Happy!
Here are day 1 pictures:
Well, today we got to come home. We spent all morning into the early afternoon there getting ready and resting before we ventured out. He is doing well. The feeding is going great! A lot better than either of the girls. Clint laughs and says its because “he is a boy”. :) Probably true. We had a good drive home. The girls about ripped the door off the car when we got home, so they could see “THE BABY!” They each had to have their turn giving him loves and kisses and then they wouldn’t put him down. M parents stayed with the girls and were a great help to us when we got home. Thank you to everyone (angela and alisha) for helping us at our midnight labor pain adventures.
I can’t believe that he is already three days old. We gave him his “first bath from home”. He LOVED it. The girls were so happy to help and wanted to do every little thing. It was very tender to see how much they love and adore him in only such a short time. It is a testimony to me that Families are meant to be together forever. We knew each other before we came here and we will know each other for eternity to come.
We had visitors today. Clint’s family (parents, and brothers and sister) came down to see HC an they brought their new little one too. Clint’s brother had a baby exactly one month before us. From the pictures, its hard to believe that ES is only 1 month older than HC.
He is sleeping ok. Likes to eat. My milk came in and he is not wanting to miss a chance to eat. We love him so much.
Last night was great. The Lord knew I needed sleep so I could keep from turning into a zombie, so we were blessed with about 7 hours of sleep with only one wake up in the middle. Oh how nice to feel like I am actually thinking straight. The girls are adjusting really well. They are so sweet and patient. Its nice to have Clint here to help me. Life is so wonderful!
It is such a blessing to have him here. He brings such a special spirit into our home. We are truly grateful to have him and our girls. Life wouldn’t be nearly as good without our beautiful children.
