Bittersweet

Well this morning we call a call (around 4 am) from Clint’s mom telling us that Clint’s dad was in the hospital with heart problems. Maybe even a heart-attack. Comes to find out he did have a minor heart-attack and they had to do surgery right away to put stints in. After things were said and done he was ok, but he has to make sure and mind his p’s and q’s so that he can stay healthy. (that was the bitter part)

As for the sweet part – We took Buck in for his weight check, since he hadn’t gained enough at his two week visit, and he was back to his birth-weight. :) YEA!!!! Which means we can just keep doing what we are doing and all should be fine. We are getting our Family pictures done tomorrow. I can’t wait!!! I will post them as soon as I get them.

We also got a new vanity mirror to put in our upstairs bathroom. :) I will post pictures soon.

Talk to you soon.

We Must One Day Account for Our Family Relationships

“With respect to our stewardship for our families, some have taught that when we report to the Savior and He asks us to give an account of our earthly responsibilities, two important inquiries will relate to our families. The first will be our relationship with our spouse, and the second will be about each of our children (see Robert D. Hales, “Understandings of the Heart,” in Brigham Young University 1987–88 Devotional and Fireside Speeches [1988], 129; see also 2 Nephi 9:41).”

HALLOWEEN 2009

Well the last couple of days (29 and 30) have been filled with white and green…paint that is. :) We got the whole basement primed and painted (thanks to Clint’s mom and the spray painter his sister let us borrow) and we got the whole kitchen repainted with our pretty green. I really am excited to see everything coming together. It was quite the adventure painting while having to nurse the baby every few hours (or more). BUT we got it done.  Here is  Clint and his mom painting…

and here is Clint after he got done painting, standing next to BN…

We also got our pumpkins carved (before halloween night for once). And that was great! ;) The girls were old enough this year to really enjoy it and help out. We let them color a picture on Buck’s and they colored on theirs while they were waiting for them to be carved.

Buck didn’t know quite what to think. He is still so small. It is crazy how fast he is growing. Time is going by so quickly. Here is a picture of him with his daddy…

On Halloween night Clint’s parents and his sister and her family all came over. IT was SO much FUN. They have three kids all within a few months age of our kids so it was really fun. Clints parents stayed home and watched the two babies while the four parents took the kiddos out trick or treating around the neighborhood. They did pretty good considering. They had a great time. When we got back we had a huge dinner and snacks. BUT it was saturday night so we didn’t want the kids to stay up to late cause we didn’t want them to be grumpy for Church.

It was a lot of fun and a great time to spend with his family. Hope you had a happy hallowwen too! :) Here are the girls with their cousins right after trick or treating…

2 Weeks Old! and Trunk or Treat

On January 28, 2010 · 0 Comments

October 28, 2009

Well I can’t believe that Buck is already almost two weeks old. The time has just flown by. We have been busy trying to get our basement done so we can make room for his nursery. We got the bathroom’s first coat of paint done tonight too. We had to cut a big chunk of the ceiling out because there was water damage, so we had our sheet r0ck guys texture the ceiling too. So now it looks so NICE!

Anyways, back to Buck! :)

His checkup was today. He hasn’t quite gained back his birth weight, so I was a little concerned, but the Dr. said he didn’t look unhealthy or like he was starving so he said to give it another week and have him checked again before we worried to much about it. So he is healthy, just not very heavy :)

BN’s 5 year well child visit was today too. She is doing great too. She is in the 95% for height and only the 70% for weight! :) She is tall and beautiful. We also got both girls their flu shots today. Yea. Now we just have to locate a swine flu vaccination for all of us….

So we got home and got ready to go to the Ward trunk or treat. We took two GREAT BIG bags of candy and they both got handed out because there were so many kiddos there. It was a lot of fun. We ate a big dinner then went through a haunted house and eventually everyone made it outside to walk the rounds at the trunk or treat. It was so so fun. The girls loved it and I had Buck in his sling inside my coat so he stayed nice and toasty, but he still got to be part of the fun (as much as he could at two weeks old :) So here are they CUTER THAN CUTE Halloween costumes that I made this year….

It was so fun. And they looked so cute.

Haunted House and Great Grandmas Birthday

On January 27, 2010 · 0 Comments

October 26, 2009

Today is the kids’ Great Grandma’s Birthday. Clint’s Grandma Walters (or BN would say “Downstairs Grandma”) turned 78 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We just want her to know how much we love her. She is such a sweet sweet lady and our kids love her as much as we do. I can’t say enough about her. We want her to know how much we appreciate her and we love her so much.

Tonight we went to a Haunted House show at the library. It was really cute the girls loved it. Buck slept though it in his carseat. Its nice the have a place so close that we can take the kids to and enjoy small things like that as a family.

Anyways. Halloween is coming fast. I am so glad I got the girls costumes made before Buck was born. That would have been crazy to try and deal with right now. I can’t wait to post pictures of them! :)

Today has been very busy. I went to church today, even though Buck is so small, because it was BN’s Primary Program. IT WAS GREAT! She did her part so well. I am very proud of her. I left after sacrament and came home, but Clint and the girls stayed for the rest of church. After church we had a few visitors. It was nice to visit with our neighbors. It has been nice to have Clint home for so long. And great that he still has a couple weeks off.

Later! :)

Why We’re Here
Clint and I were married in February 2003. We were sealed together for Time and All Eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In the fall of 2004 we were blessed with our first baby - a girl (BN). Almost two years later we were blessed again with another little girl (BC). What a joy. It is such a blessing to have these two little girls. It makes our lives so much better. We had our third in October...a Boy! (HC). In the spring of 2009, we bought a beautiful house that we couldn't be happier with. We are so blessed. We wouldn't change anything. Everything that has or will come our way - will just be a learning experience that will make us stronger.
